Where did you grow up?
I have spent most of my life in Arizona, but I call upstate NY home.
How did you become interested in and how long have you been with Phoenix 360 Fitness?
I started coming to Phoenix 360 Fitness two years ago as part of an employer sponsored program and haven’t looked back!
What Motivates/Inspires/Determines you to train and push your self to your limits?
I’m motivated by the desire to be the healthiest version of myself. Every time I feel a change in my body or can use heavier weights during exercises, it helps me push harder toward my goals. I also love the feeling of accomplishment when I finish a tough workout.
How has your training at Phoenix 360 helped you in your life?
It’s helped me so much! My confidence has improved, I feel healthier, and I am able to do things I wasn’t before. I even rocked a bikini last weekend without feeling self conscious or embarrassed!
What accomplishment/lift are you most proud of?
I am currently most proud that I am healthier and weigh less now than I did on my wedding day.
How do you balance your time between your work, family and personal needs?
I’ve really had to teach myself that it is not selfish to take care of yourself. I set clear limits at work to make sure I can make it to the gym, and my husband and I stay active at home by playing soccer, going on hikes, etc. We have a lot of fun being active together.
If you could give our readers one health tip, what would it be?
Stick with it. There may be times when you don’t see physical results immediately, but you are making changes to become healthier in other ways too. Trust yourself, the process, and your trainer, and just keep going!
